One of the biggest challenges for farmers in the poultry industry is to achieve and maintain a good climate in the stable. A non-functioning climatic environment adversely affects animal health and production as well as the work environment. Hence, there are many actors who work hard to try to improve the stable climate. However, it is difficult to know what efforts are needed and what can really give the preferred effect. Therefore, we would like to evaluate the possibilities of establishing a digital poultry stable to simulate and test different scenarios and ways to improve the climatic conditions. If this proves successful, it would provide greater understanding of why different climatic problems arise and what measures that could improve them. In the long run, this concept could be developed into a product and/or service that can be used as an advisory guidance for the farmers.
