Using split fertilization of nitrogen (N) in wheat production is today well-established to increase protein content and adjust fertilization. However, deep knowledge and understanding of N uptake and remobilization during late stages of crop development are missing. Moreover, while split fertilization requires fast dissolution of fertilizers, information on amount of precipitation/moisture needed is currently lacking. The project will, by pot- and field trials as well as a lab-study, explore the following principal questions: How late can N be applied and still result in increased yields or higher protein content in wheat? Can nitrogen use efficiency increase by late N application? How much precipitation/moisture is needed to dissolve different fertilizers? New knowledge can be implemented in practical farming. Information on dissolution of fertilizers can result in more precise N-doses and increased knowledge regarding crop potential can improve profitability in production.

The purpose of the project is to analyse stable cultures in cyberspace in Sweden and Norway. In recent years, questions about the welfare of horses have been debated in social media and norms for horse-keeping are created on Internet. In this project, these norms are conceptualised as stable …

Clubroot disease is a serious threat to OSR production in Sweden and genetic resistance is the most important factor in a cropping strategy. The aim is to develop a concept for integrated production of winter OSR supported by DNA technology. Infestation levels and yield of resistant and susceptible …

During the last decade, neonatal porcine diarrhoea (NPD) has become an increased problem in Swedish herds. Clostridium (C.) perfringens type A (CpA) and C. difficile (Cd) have been highlighted as causes of NPD but their importance has also been questioned. We have previously demonstrated that CpA …
