The project aims to develop a decision support tool to aid farmers when investing in precision agriculture technology. The project will develop a model to assess the profitability of investments in precision agriculture technology. Within the project data from Swedish and international field trials will be collected and used in a calculation model, where the potential profitability of precision agriculture is evaluated on farm level. Based on observed spatial variability the financial benefits due to precision technology are evaluated at farm level.
The project group combines competences in technology, economics and agronomy in a multidisciplinary approach to ensure relevance and benefit to farm business and the industry. The precision agriculture concept enables efficient crop production where inputs are managed based on site-specific conditions. Precision agriculture can reduced input costs as well as contribute to a sustainable intensification of agricultural production.

Icelandic horses are increasingly popular in Sweden and Norway. Their strength lies in their unique gaits, however, in lame horses this trait becomes a weakness. Evaluating not only lameness but also the leg of origin for lameness in any gait other than trot is exceptionally challenging. Today, we …

During the last decade, neonatal porcine diarrhoea (NPD) has become an increased problem in Swedish herds. Clostridium (C.) perfringens type A (CpA) and C. difficile (Cd) have been highlighted as causes of NPD but their importance has also been questioned. We have previously demonstrated that CpA …
