Structure liming on clayey soils (>15% clay) is one of the prioritized measures for mitigation of phosphorous losses to surrounding water. This project increases the knowledge about the effect of structure liming on phosphorous leaching losses on short and long term by investigating the timing and quantity of lime application, as well as the long-term leaching losses and their annual variation. Structure liming can favor both the environment and the productivity and profitability of agriculture when the soil structure improves and the risk of losses of phosphorous from the field decreases. The project uses an already on-going field experiment on separately tile-drained plots were measurements will continue and new plots brought into use.

Adding flowers to the cropping system that support beneficial insects is a promising option to achieve crop protection
in Swedish agriculture and horticulture. However, the wide-spread adoption of this approach has been hampered by
limited economic benefit and the risk of propagating pests and …

All horses grazing freely are at risk of parasitic diseases. Due to a growing problem with drug resistance in parasites, there is a need to improve the diagnostic methods. One important problem with today's situation is that one diagnostic procedure costs significantly more than one treatment, both …

Climate projections for Sweden indicate higher temperatures during summer and larger variability in precipitation between years. This poses enormous challenges for Swedish agriculture. The main aim of this project is to investigate relationships between soil management, soil quality and crop yield. …
