Swedish agriculture needs to be environmentally and climate-friendly and at the same time be productive, profitable and ethically- and socially sustainable. RISE knowledge and skills covers a large part of Sweden’s agricultural technical competence. RISE has established national and internationally networks and collaborates with authorities, industry, researchers and farmer organizations. The aim with this synthesis is to assess the current state of knowledge in order to prioritize applied research and innovation, to identify opportunities and challenges with new technologies for agriculture. The synthesis will summarize the requirements from agriculture and authorities and identify possible ways for innovative development. The focus will be on how new technology can be implemented in order to achieve a Swedish agricultural production that is competitive, environmentally and climate-friendly and sustainable for humans, animals, crops and farmland.
