'Work Package 3: Riding Instructor-Horse' is the final part of the project 'Improving Teaching Methods in Riding Education: the Interplay between Rider, Riding Instructor and Horse'. In this project, the Swedish-Norwegian Foundation for Equine Research has previously funded the first two work packages, Work Package 1: Rider-Horse and Work Package 2: Rider-Riding Instructor. In this final study, the material will be analysed with a focus on how riding instructors orient towards, and in various ways emphasize, the needs of the horse. The aim is to lay a foundation for active reflection and thus better teaching practices, better performance and well as improved well-being and work satisfaction for horses and humans alike. Combining theories on learning with methods from multimodal interaction research, the study will contribute with new knowledge about the interaction in the rider-riding instructor-horse triad as well theories and methods within the growing field of equestrian research.

Conventional technology is virtually unable to measure complete GHG budgets of drained organic soils, which may provide misleading results. So, global estimates of GHG emissions are based on coarse assumptions that don’t take into account the complexity of agroecosystems. Better data are needed for …
